Yoga is a couple of thousand year old ancient tradition that unites the body with the mind. It is more than a discipline of physical exercise. It is a powerful, transformational practice that works on all levels of your being: physical through the asanas, mental through meditation and spiritual through breath work and all of the above, resulting in harmony and bliss of your being. It gives you strength, balance, peace of mind and an overall well being. It is a clearing and cleansing process to release physical, mental and emotional blocks.

What is AromaYoga? - AromaYoga Class

Aromayoga combines and deepens the therapeutic effects of yoga and essential oils on both the mind and body. The Aromayoga class uses seven unique essential oil combinations placed on each of the seven chakra centers of the body, along with specific visualization, breathing and yoga exercises. These are designed to open up and restore balance to the seven major energy centers of the body, creating a deep sense of well-being and healing.

In this unique practice, both the benefits of yoga and essential oils are accentuated. They work in synergistic fashion: natural oils emphasize the benefits of yoga poses by encouraging deeper breathing, increased circulation, and releasing blockages in the body. While each class includes exercises that work the body as a whole, every class focuses on a particular chakra, with exercises and oils meant to target specific blockages in that area.

Week after week, students learn to recognize their own internal tension and become educated in knowing which exercises and oils are beneficial in releasing stress in each area of their body. Flower water, infused with essences specific to the chakra of the day, is also offered to the student throughout a workshop.

The student leaves the class feeling a deep sense of renewal, balance and peace, along with a better awareness of their own body.

All products used in AROMAYOGA classes are made by APRIL AROMATICS. They are organic and free of synthetic additives. All ingredients are composed of 100% pure natural oils that contain natural anti-biotic antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties.

MORE ABOUT EACH CHAKRA

Private AromaYoga sessions:
Tanja teaches private, one on one AromaYoga sessions.
Before the meeting Tanja connects with the person through a brief phone consultation to find out where the person is in their life stage and what area of their life they would like to focus on, (work, relationships, creativity, personal power, grief, strength, finding their path in life, etc). This will help Tanja to determine what chakra needs to be focused on deeper and where there are blockages and what exercises will be beneficial to address these areas of their lifes.
Upon completion of the phone converstation Tanja prepares a specific aromatherapy blend for that person, that will be used along with the chakra oils and mist in the private session to follow. The blend will then remain with the student to continue their work on their own. Homework Yoga exercises will be given to the student as well to further deepen their practice. This process is very deep soul work and promotes healing from the inside out.

Chakras: The word chakra is a Sanskrit word-meaning wheel or disc. Discribed as a wheel like spinning vortex or energy center. It is the seven major centers along the spinal column. These seven centers can be thought of as the seven master centers.Chakras are also called lotuses, symbolizing the unfolding of flower petals, which metaphorically describes the opening of a chakra. These beautiful flowers are sacred in India. Like flowers chakras can be open, dying or budding, depending upon the state of consciousness within. Both chakras and lotuses are terms referring to seven basic energy centers within what is called the subtle body.

To work with the chakras is to heal us of old constricting patterns. We can enhance the function of these chakras thereby by anointing them with high quality aromatic blends. The chakras are interconnected. An individual chakra does not function alone. It works in conjunction with the other chakras of its system.
